Is Chipotle Open on MLK Day? Yes, Normal Hours (2026)
Yes. Chipotle is open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day with normal hours, typically 10:45 AM to 10:00 PM. While banks, post offices, and schools close for the federal holiday, Chipotle runs its standard schedule, only Thanksgiving and Christmas close the chain.
Federal Holiday, Regular Restaurant Day
MLK Day closes government offices, banks, and schools, which trips people into assuming restaurants follow. They largely do not: Chipotle runs the full standard schedule, every location, every channel. The chain two-closure calendar (Thanksgiving, Christmas) covers the entire year, and January holidays are ordinary operating days.
The MLK Monday Pattern
With schools out and many offices closed, lunch starts earlier and runs longer than a typical Monday, and family orders replace the usual weekday solo traffic. It is a milder bump than summer holidays, January appetites stay closer to home, but ordering ahead in the app still beats the 12 to 1:30 PM stretch comfortably.
Worth Knowing in January
