Is Chipotle Open on Thanksgiving? No, Plan Around It (2026)
No. Chipotle is closed on Thanksgiving Day at every U.S. location, one of only two company-wide closures each year (Christmas is the other). The Wednesday before is one of the busiest days of the season with normal hours, and restaurants reopen with regular hours on Black Friday.
The Two-Day Rule
Chipotle operating calendar is simple: open 363 days, closed 2, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The closure is nationwide and includes every order channel: no in-store, no app pickup, no delivery, no catering fulfillment on the day. Because every U.S. Chipotle is company-owned, there are no franchise exceptions.

Methodology
Holiday status reflects Chipotle standard operating pattern, closed company-wide only on Thanksgiving and Christmas, verified against the official store locator, app, and newsroom announcements as of October 2026. Individual locations (malls, airports, campuses) follow venue hours and can differ; confirm your restaurant in the app before visiting.
