When Is Chipotle Boorito 2026? The Terms Are Now Published

Chipotle published the Boorito 2026 terms on 20 October, and they are more specific than the versions circulating from last year. It is a $6 entree on Halloween, from 3pm, in costume, in restaurant only, and you have to scan your Rewards card at the till. There is also a second offer the following day that almost no coverage mentions.

Quick Answer

Boorito 2026 is Saturday 31 October. Chipotle Rewards members get one entree for $6 when they turn up in costume and scan for Rewards at the point of sale, from 3:00 pm local time through closing. It is in-restaurant only — no mobile, online, delivery or catering — and there is a limit of one per costumed guest.

🎯 Key Takeaways
  • Saturday 31 October 2026, from 3pm local time to closing.
  • $6 entree, limit one per costumed guest.
  • Costume required — the restaurant decides if it qualifies.
  • You must scan for Rewards at the till. Membership alone is not enough.
  • In-restaurant only. No app, online, delivery or catering.
  • $0 delivery fees on 1 November — a separate offer, digital only.

The Published Terms

Chipotle announced Boorito 2026 on 20 October, and unlike the guesswork that circulated beforehand, these are its own words.

Term What Chipotle published
Price $6 for one entree item
Date Saturday 31 October 2026 only
Time From 3:00 pm local time through restaurant closing
Costume Required — and the restaurant decides whether it qualifies
Rewards Must be a member and scan for Rewards at the point of sale
Channel In-restaurant only
Limit One discounted item per costumed guest
Availability Redemption is subject to availability

Stephanie Perdue, Chipotle Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing, framed it in the release as: the passion around Boorito inspires us to find new ways to celebrate and surprise our fans year after year.

The two conditions people get wrong. First, scanning for Rewards at the point of sale is a condition of the offer, not an optional loyalty step — being a member without scanning does not qualify you. Second, the restaurant decides whether your costume counts. Chipotle publishes no definition, so there is no standard to appeal to at the till.

How to Claim It

In order, because two of these have to happen before you leave the house:

  1. Join Chipotle Rewards before you go. Membership is required and signing up in the queue on Halloween night is not a plan. Check you can open your scan code without a signal.
  2. Put on a costume. Chipotle wording is in costume, as determined by restaurant. A recognisable costume is safe; a single accessory is a gamble.
  3. Go after 3:00 pm local time. Not before — the offer does not run at lunchtime — and it runs through closing.
  4. Order one qualifying entree. A burrito, burrito bowl, salad or an order of three tacos.
  5. Scan your Rewards code at the point of sale. At the till, as part of the transaction.
  6. Expect modifiers to cost extra. Guacamole and queso are charged on top of the $6.

Our Rewards guide covers setting the account up, and our guide to what counts as an entree explains the definition Chipotle uses across all its offers.

What Does Not Qualify

Excluded Detail
Mobile and online orders In-restaurant only, in both Chipotle sources
Delivery orders Including Chipotle own delivery
Catering Excluded outright
Kids meals Named in both sources
Quesadillas Named in the newsroom release — see below
Guacamole, queso, extra meat Not excluded, but charged extra
Taxes, gratuities, sides Not included, and the guest pays them
Other coupons and promotions Restrictions apply — it does not stack

One thing that is not excluded and worth knowing: the discounted entree still earns Rewards points.

The Quesadilla Discrepancy

Chipotle has published the Boorito terms in two places and they do not say quite the same thing. We checked both again on 26 October and the difference is still there.

Source What it excludes
Newsroom release, 20 Oct Quesadillas, kids meals, catering, mobile, online, delivery
Terms on chipotle.com Kids meals, catering, mobile, online, delivery — the word quesadilla does not appear
Both end up in the same place, by different routes. Boorito is in-restaurant only, and the hand-crafted quesadilla is digital-exclusive — orderable only through the Chipotle app or website. So a quesadilla cannot be bought in a restaurant on Halloween regardless of which exclusion list you read. The newsroom version simply states it; the terms page leaves you to work it out.

If you are relying on fine print, treat the newsroom version as the stricter one. Our online menu guide covers which items are digital-only, and our entree definition guide covers why the quesadilla is an entree that still cannot be used here.

What It Actually Costs

Six dollars is the entree. It is not the bill.

Order What you pay
Chicken burrito, plain $6
Chicken bowl with guacamole $6 plus the guacamole upcharge
Bowl with queso $6 plus the queso upcharge
Double protein $6 plus extra meat
Veggie or sofritas bowl with guacamole $6 — guacamole is included as standard
Anything, plus a drink or chips Sides are not included and are charged in full
The free-guacamole exception is the best value on the night. Chipotle terms charge extra for guacamole except for veggie entrees, where it is already included. So a veggie or sofritas bowl with guacamole is a genuine $6, while a chicken bowl with guacamole is closer to nine dollars before tax. Our guacamole cost guide has the current upcharge.

The 1 November Delivery Offer

Chipotle announced a second, separate promotion in the same release, and most coverage of Boorito has not mentioned it at all.

Term Detail
What $0 delivery fees on digital orders
When Sunday 1 November 2026 only — the day after Boorito
Where The Chipotle website or app only, not third-party platforms
Minimum $10, excluding tax and fees
Excluded Catering and Burritos by the Box
Still applies Higher menu prices on delivery orders
Service fees Still added at checkout except in CA, CO, CT, MA, MN and VA

Note the two catches. Chipotle charges higher menu prices on delivery orders than in restaurant, and waiving the delivery fee does not change that. And the service fee is separate from the delivery fee — it is still added everywhere except those six states. Our delivery fee guide breaks down which charge is which.

Taken together, the two days are an in-restaurant offer followed by a digital one. If you cannot get to a restaurant in costume on Saturday, Sunday is the consolation.

Current offers are tracked on our promo codes page and BOGO deals guide, and the rest of this month on our news and menu updates page.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Chipotle Boorito 2026?

Saturday 31 October 2026, from 3:00 pm local time through restaurant closing. Chipotle published the terms on 20 October. The offer is one entree for $6 for Chipotle Rewards members who appear in costume and scan for Rewards at the point of sale, in restaurant only.

How much is the Boorito 2026 deal?

Six dollars for one entree item. That covers a burrito, burrito bowl, salad or an order of three tacos. Modifiers are charged on top — guacamole, queso, extra meat and other extras all cost extra, except guacamole on a veggie entree, where it is included as standard. Taxes, gratuities and sides are not included either.

Do I need a costume for Boorito 2026?

Yes. Chipotle terms say the offer applies when appearing in costume, as determined by restaurant. There is no published definition of what counts, which means the staff member at the till makes the call. A recognisable costume is safe; a single accessory is a gamble, and there is no appeal if they say no.

Do I need Chipotle Rewards for Boorito?

Yes, and the detail that catches people out is that membership alone is not enough — the terms require you to scan for Rewards at the point of sale. Set the app up before you travel and check you can bring up your scan code without a signal, because restaurants are busy on Halloween night and queue wifi is unreliable.

Can I get Boorito on the app or delivery?

No. The 2026 offer is explicitly redeemable in-restaurant only, and both Chipotle sources exclude mobile, online and delivery orders as well as catering. That matters because several recent Chipotle promotions have been app-exclusive, so the habit of reaching for the app will not work here.

Does a quesadilla count for Boorito 2026?

No, though Chipotle two sources word it differently. Its newsroom release lists quesadillas among the exclusions outright. The terms page on chipotle.com does not mention quesadillas at all. Both reach the same place, because a quesadilla is only orderable through the app or website and Boorito is in-restaurant only — but the newsroom version is the stricter and more explicit of the two.

What is the Chipotle delivery offer on 1 November?

A separate promotion: $0 delivery fees on digital orders placed on the Chipotle website or app on 1 November 2026 only. It needs a $10 minimum excluding tax and fees, it does not apply to third-party delivery platforms, and it excludes catering and Burritos by the Box. Higher menu prices still apply to delivery orders, and service fees are still added at checkout except in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Virginia.

Can I use Boorito with another offer?

No. Chipotle terms state that restrictions apply to use with other coupons, promotions or special offers, so it does not stack. The entree does still earn Rewards points, which is the one thing you get to keep alongside the discount.

Methodology

The terms on this page are taken from Chipotle own newsroom release of 20 October 2026 and from the offer terms published on chipotle.com, both checked again on 26 October 2026, and are quoted rather than paraphrased where the wording decides whether an order qualifies. Where the two Chipotle sources differ from each other, this page sets out both rather than picking one. The 1 November delivery offer is a separate promotion with its own published terms and its own exclusions. Offer terms, participating locations and availability are set by Chipotle and can change without notice.
